Friday Poem

Rejoicing in the challenges of life.

Untitled Poem

The world is filled with little laws
  that tells us what might be.
They often seem to stop a cause
  we really wish to see.
I cannot loaf and eat a lot
  and be a slender man;
I can’t have kids that ne’er drip snot
  for no man ever can.
No single language can express
  the nuance of each tongue.
There is not time enough to hear
  each song that’s ever sung.

Suppose you could repeal these laws
  and let whatever be;
That world would lack in goal and cause:
  it’s not the world for me.
Decisions that are difficult
  give meaning, purpose, joy!
Without them everything’s default,
  all one dull pointless toy.
