Windows Domain
CS maintains a Windows “domain” called CSDOM. When you get a Computer Science user account you get an account on this domain. We use AD (Active Directory) for authentication when logging in, or for common services, such as Samba.
When logging in to these services you may need to put “CSDOM\” in front of your userid. eg CSDOM\abc1de
.
Passwords
You can change your password after logging in to any Windows system joined to our domain. To change your password, press Ctrl-Alt-Del
and select “Change Password”.
Windows and Linux passwords are the same. You do not need to change it on both systems.
